JUST FOR THE RECORD

I finally beat Marin at Ticket To Ride board game! Now there is a strong possibility that she may have let me win, but a win is a win nevertheless! Of course this is after many times playing with her and others but I'll take it! Thanks Marin and JR for the game.
Oh, and I had the most delicious caramel apple yesterday while shopping with Marin for maternity clothes. They sure have cute ones now! When I was having kids 30 years ago everything looked like it was made by Triple A Tent and Awning. Thanks Mandy for those coupons at Rocky Mtn Chocolate Factory! And to think it is so close....um...

A Christmas puppy for Misty's boys!

After a harrowing trip through ice and snow to Casper, Wyoming Misty and Dan made it home to surprise the 4 boys with an early Christmas present. They slid off the icy road on the way to Wyo. on an overpass and went into a ditch after hitting a mile marker sign and denting their truck slightly. A kind samaritan had a chain and pulled them out and they continued on their way. They chose a different route home and made it safely without incident. They kept us posted every few hours and spent the night in a Super 8. Little Tessa did pretty well but didn't like her crate since she and her siblings were born on a ranch and are used to running wild. She's really pretty and has a cute personality. She's a mix of Cur and Red Healer. As soon as Misty can clip her nails she'll be easier to hold. All in all I'm glad it's Misty's family and not me who's got a new little one!

I finally FINALLY got to see Mama Mia!

I rented it when Marin came because she said she'd watch it with me. We went out to Misty's last night and the three of us watched it with, of all people, Garn. JR and Dan hot tubbed in their backyard. They refused to submit themselves to a chick flick! Misty admitted that SHE LIKED IT!!! (Since she has always stated that she hates musicals) The kids all grew up listening to all the songs so it was so fun to sing along with them. We'll definitely have to bring it along on our girls' week-end in July since I went out and bought it with the bonus disc. I looked for the soundtrack to the movie too but couldn't find it so that's my next purchase. I would have liked Pierce Brosnan anyway but he can sing too! And I loved Meryl Streep's voice. Her sidekicks are hilarious! Loved it!

Happy 11th birthday SADIE! We miss you!!

Marin and JR are here!

They arrived last evening after interminable waits and plane changes from Seattle. Garn and I went to Chili's with Marin and JR and Jeannine and Whitney (bytheway I forgot to tell you Whitney that I love your hair!) The only thing that would make this season perfect would be if Mandy's family could be here.

Do cortizone shots really work?

I hope so cuz I'm SICK of the pain!! I have an encapsulated something or other with a slight chance of a torn rotator cuff, whatever that means. I just want to be able to move my left arm and shoulder again without screaming (silently most of the time). I'm really glad it's not my right shoulder or my racquetball would be in jeopardy! 4 more days til Marin and JR come!! I'm counting the days!! That also means that tutoring is over til 2009! I only have Mon. the 22nd left for Spanish which is our pinata. Fun times!
