A short 4th

Playing the card game Nertz in our motorhome, clockwise: Misty and Mason are partners, Becky Snell and Christian (Sherwood) are partners, Pat woodall (me) and Tenille are partners

Having a great time at Current Creek, near Strawberry on the 3rd playing cards with Misty's friends and Dan's sister, Christian.
We left Fri. afternoon and got up to the camp that evening. Both Garn and I got new lounging camp chairs that are so comfortable. They recline and are long. My urinary tract infection was getting worse so Garn and I left Sat. eve. and headed home. We were the only ones at the dump station Sat night at 10 pm. Saw fireworks on the way home. I was in the Instacare Sun. morning seeing a DR. for the infection. Sure enough I had white blood cells in my urine and also blood. My infection spread to my bladder. I asked the Dr. if cranberry juice would help but she said the infection was too wide spread for it to help. I'm on a prescription that will bind with calcium so I can't take any milk products, vitamins or minerals, calcium, or caffeine ( no chocolate!) I must avoid the sun too. The antibiotic causes diarrhea, cramps and headaches. Not more than 10 min. after taking my first dose of the day I was in the bathroom and 10 min. after that I was back there. The medicine has an increased risk of joint swelling and breakage of tendons, which is greater for those over 60! ( great!) Ibuprofen is warned against too. The medicine can cause yeast infections so the Dr. prescribed a pill for that BUT it can't be taken with Ciprofloxacin, which is the medicine she prescribed for the UTI! Also with this medicine I can't take Simvistatin, which is my cholesteral med. Moral: Don't wait too long to see a Dr. with a UTI thinking drinking more water will cure it! I waited over a week. Now the infection is on the way to my kidneys.
So, we were home from the 4th camping by July 3rd! What a pain, literally. And a short 4th!
