We spent Fri. night in Pocatello, ate dinner at the Wagon Wheel and soaked in the pools, then after a great breakfast Sat. we went hot pooling in the Springs and walked around town and then checked into The Lions' Gate Manor in Lava. What a great place and all the theme rooms are wonderful. We had the Castillian Room with a balcony, jetta tub, big screen tv on the wall, and the most comfortable bed with the softest sheets. We bought snacks and ate them in the Manor's dining room and then headed off to our various rooms (there were 5 couples) for a nap. (It's hard work soaking and eating). Then we headed to the Senior Citizens Center for Sat. night dinner and Bingo. Their bbq ribs are great and the home made rolls are wonderful. All proceeds go to the Center from bingo so we played til 9 pm then headed back to the hot pools, since we had an all day pass. (Got the Sr. citizen discount too!) I forgot the camera so one of the gals with us said she'd email me her pics. I'll post them when she does. Sun. morning I got in the jetta tub and tried all the jets and colors, then went downstairs for a breakfast made for us. We sat in these high backed Victorian chairs and over ate. The food was great and the hot chocolate was served with bowls of real whipped cream! Then we packed up, said goodbye to the owner who is so friendly and headed home. All in all a great way to spend the end of January; good friends, good food, good times!

I am so glad you guys got to run away for a while and enjoy being with friends and each other. Those hot pools sound so great right now since it is so cold here. If we are going to be in Texas, this cold weather stuff has to end. (that sounded like a total spoiled brat, however if we have no family or friends here then we better at least have nice weather, right?)
Right! (or move home?) Hopefully it'll be great when we get there! Only 49 more days!!
